Fire Expo 2022
In 2022, the Fire Expo was held on Monday evening, October 10th, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Each year, we strive to provide new displays and activities for the enjoyment and education of the entire family. The Expo in 2022 was no different. Special crowd pleasers included a live burn demonstrating the importance of home fire sprinkler systems, vehicle rescues, helicopter evacuation, K-9 demonstrations and extinguishing oven fires.
Some information on our annual event

The Fort Washington Fire Expo is held annually on the Monday of the week after Fire Prevention Week. Initially started as a way to educate the public about fire safety and fire prevention, the EXPO has grown into a much anticipated and very successful community event. Included in the program now are many areas of injury prevention for people of all ages, as well as emergency preparedness. Our visitors come from near and far and are mostly families with small children. The crowd has been estimated to be in excess of 1,000.
Our participants include dozens of fire and emergency squads, primarily from the Southeastern Pa area. We encourage our participants to demonstrate their "specialties", such as vehicle rescue/extrication, drafting, hazmat and other skills.
