FWFC LIVE- IN INFORMATION
|
We are currently recruiting new live-in members. Firefighter I certification is required at time of move-in. Vehicle Rescue Technician must be obtained within one year. In addition, there are additionl qualifications needed to become a live-in member. See FWFC Live-In Policy for more info.

The Fort Washington Fire Company has been providing fire protection in Upper Dublin Township for over 100 years. During that time, we have been a progressive company looking to constantly improve our operations. One operational update was the creation of our live-in program. It was added several years ago to help continue providing 24/7 staffing and also recruit new members that may live out of the area. We are looking for students pursuing a higher education or individuals with prior fire service experience.
The fire station is within walking distance to the Fort Washington Train Station (R5 Lansdale / Doylestown) with access to center city Philadelphia. Temple Main & Ambler Campus, Gwynedd Mercy College, Penn State Abington, LaSalle University, Delaware Valley University, Drexel and Ursinus Colleges are some of the educational institutions within commuting distance to the station. The station has easy access to Rt 309 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
| Our main station (88A) has (8) private bedrooms and (2) full bathrooms. The live in wing has its own private entrance at the rear of the station. |
