On Wednesday night, a group of our new members got together for another night of working on their core skills. The focus this week was acting as the hydrant fire fighter on our engines. This is a critical position, but often falls to the junior member on the crew. Each member acted in the hydrant position and had to communicate with the driver to send them water when called. Upon successful completion of the skill, they were signed off and are now ready to fill this role on an actual incident. A big thank you to driver Fred Hering for operating Engine 88 and Life Member Pete Williams for passing on his knowledge to the next generation. Next up: ground ladders! If you would like to be part of the crew, shoot us an email-membership@fwfc.org and we will go over the steps.
